Drinking and Driving has no Happy Endings
Three years ago I wrote a heartfelt blog on the subject of drunk driving entitled, Drinking & Driving is a Tragedy. The intent then was to appeal to those among us who were practicing this bad behavior. Three years later, here I am on the same sat subject…
Do you think that Albuquerque has a Drunk Driving Problem? Let me take you to my source for local news, KOB TV. Here is what they have reported: “Albuquerque police say they arrested 10 suspected drunken drivers at a sobriety checkpoint they set up on the city’s west side Saturday night.” Folks, I live on the Westside. I drive through many of these neighborhoods, I just don’t get it. Why? Have people just given up on life? When you Drink and Drive, there are no happy endings.
Today you get away with it, but tomorrow you won’t. It is high time you check yourself. I am saddened by the many tragedies that have been reported over the past three years. When will it end? How many more will have to suffer? How many more will have to die? This must end…drinking and driving has no happy endings.
